Why is my Ford TravelPilot locked down?
Following a breakdown or a disconnection of the car battery, the Ford TravelPilot will ask for a Device PIN to become operational. It's a standard anti-theft protection.
However, if you can't find the code for your radio, do not panic. This guide will help you calculate the car radio code.
How to retrieve the serial code of your Ford TravelPilot car navigation?
First of all, you should find the serial number of your car radio to unlock it using our calculator.
You can read the radio unit serial number from the metal plate attached to the back or even on one of your car radio sides.
Removing the radio from the dashboard is fairly easy using a set of Ford Radio Release Keys which you can buy from a local car accessories shop or a Halfords store.
- You will find four small holes on the front left and right of the radio, insert the radio release keys into the slots until they are in place (you should feel a click).
- Once the radio release keys are in pull the radio out.
- Please note that the radio will have the power adapter and antenna plugged in so you may have to unplug them to see the serial number.
- On most models of Ford CD players, the serial number beginning with M or V will be printed on a Ford label.

Car navigation codes licenses are available in two types (you can exclude VAT for the company license). Payment is made through PayPal over a secure connection.
